Directoire Style Bonheur Du Jour

French 19th century mahogany bonheur du jour in the Directoire style. It's special characteristic is it's raised back, dressed with patinated bronze galleries and swags and fitted with drawers and a central bevelled mirror. The cylinder top opens to reveal a pull-out writing slide and fitted interior. All the fluting on the piece is inlaid with bronze. Circa 1870. In sympathetically restored condition.
