19th Century Florentine Renaissance style hall seat in walnut, featuring elaborate carvings of putti and mythical figures. The high quality woodwork creates a striking chiaroscuro effect, playing beautifully with light and shadow. Balancing grand aesthetics with practical function, the bench features a hinged seat that lifts to reveal generous interior storage. Presented in beautifully restored condition, the hall seat comes complete with a custom velvet seat cushion and a matching pair of bolster cushions. Florence, circa 1870 – 1880.
