A 19th century French Louis XVI style satinwood bureau plat or desk decorated with banding and gilt brass escutcheons and mounts. The top is fitted with an embossed and gilt-edged leather. This desk is decorated on both sides and can sit against a wall or in the centre of a room. In restored condition. France, circa 1890.
