A high quality French Louis XV style double bed in fiddleback walnut. Both the headboard and footboard feature elegant, flowing serpentine silhouettes topped with intricately hand-carved foliate crests and acanthus leaf details. The bed rests gracefully on carved cabriole legs, finishing with traditional scrolled feet. In wonderful restored condition complete with original matching timber side rails and custom slats. France, c.1880. Height of headboard: 144cm. Width of the bed measures 140cm at the base and 150cm at the widest point.
