Exceptional Huon Pine Chest of Drawers

An exceptional high quality 19th century Tasmanian huon pine chest of drawers displaying extensive and prominent birds-eye figuring, c.1870. It features a traditional Scottish chest configuration comprising of 8 drawers, including a deep central hat drawer and is distinguished by finely carved full-length corbels in the High Gothic Revival style. The drawers are fitted with their original turned wooden knobs and feature fine dovetail joinery. This is a substantial statement piece that offers both historical value and practical storage.
